Morris Hospital pediatrician earns board certification – The Herald-News
MORRIS – Dr. Aamair Tajuddin, a pediatrician at the Coal City Healthcare Center of Morris Hospital, has been certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Founded in 1933, the American Board of Pediatrics is one of the 24 certifying boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties.
ABP certification is recognized throughout the world as an achievement that identifies a physician’s high level of competence.
Tajuddin joined Morris Hospital and Healthcare Centers in August 2016.
He sees patients at the Coal City Healthcare Center of Morris Hospital, 4 E. North St., Coal City.
Born and raised in Lombard, Tajuddin attended medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Stratford, New Jersey.
He completed a pediatrics residency at Loyola University Medical Center.
He is certified by the American Heart Association in pediatric advanced life support, neonatal resuscitation and basic life support, and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
As a pediatrician, Tajuddin provides care for patients ages newborn through 17.
His focus is preventive care and management of health in infants, children and teens, including monitoring of growth and development, illness management, nutritional counseling, immunizations and physical fitness.
Tajuddin has a special interest in newborn care, asthma, ADHD and weight management.
