Children have a
new location for medical
treatment in Washington County.
Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin
is expanding with the opening of
a new primary care pediatrics
clinic in Jackson. The new
clinic quietly opened its doors
in late July, but formally
opened Monday after the arrival
of added new staff.

In November,
Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin
Pediatrics-West Bend is also
moving and changing its name to
West Bend Pediatrics. The new
location, at 611 Veterans Ave.,
Suite 106, is less than 10
minutes from the current
location.

The new site
will be more centrally located,
said Dr. Smriti Khare, president
of Childrens Medical Group. It
will allow us to increase the
number of providers and deliver
better care to the families of
West Bend.

Khare said
Jackson Pediatrics looks forward
to providing the compassionate
and dedicated medical care that
the families of Jackson,
Hartford and West Bend have come
to expect from Childrens
Hospital of Wisconsin.

Being connected
to the pediatric experts at
Childrens Hospital gives
Jackson Pediatrics the ability
to draw upon those resources to
provide the highest level of
care possible,’ said Khare.

The new Jackson
clinic is located just off
Highway 45 at Main Street near
Culver’s and will be open
Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
The services there include
wellness visits, sick visits,
sports physicals, vaccines and
other general pediatric care.
The clinic is staffed by Kenneth
Strzelecki, DO, and Sandra
Schaefer, MSN, CPNP.

Strzelecki joined
Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin
on Sept. 11, 2017. He received
his osteopathic medicine degree
from Michigan State University
in 2008 and completed his
residency at Children’s Hospital
of Michigan in 2012. He is
certified by the American Board
of Pediatrics in pediatric
advanced life support, present
basic life support and present
neonatal resuscitation.

With two young
children, Strzelecki knows
firsthand the ups and downs of
parenting which has influenced
his practice style.

I believe a
great pediatrician is first and
foremost a trusted friend to
patients and their families. The
best part of my job is being
there to watch children grow and
thrive, while also helping
parents navigate the sometimes
chaotic and stressful task of
raising healthy kids, said
Strzelecki. Ive developed
particular interests in
assisting families with chronic
illnesses. I also take pride in
being a relatable, committed
pediatrician who provides
exceptional care for my
patients.

Schaefer joined
Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin
in January. She received an
associate degree in nursing from
Milwaukee Area Technical College
in 1991, a bachelors degree in
nursing from University of
Phoenix in 2000 and a masters
degree in nursing from
University of Central Florida in
2003. She is a certified
Pediatric Mental Health
Specialist. As one of nine kids,
Schaefer knew early on she
wanted to dedicate her life to
kids.

My passion for
children has never wavered,
Schaefer said. My goal is to
help them have the best life
possible using their God-given
gifts.
