Brigg’s & Al’s Run & Walk raises over $1 million for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin – Channel3000.com – WISC-TV3
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – About 15,000 people participated in the 40th annual Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk today, raising over $1 million for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
In its 40 years the Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk has raised more than $20 million for Children’s Hospital Wisconsin.
“I want to personally thank everyone who has helped make Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk such an incredible success over these past 40 years, including all of our participants and our sponsors, especially our title sponsor, Briggs & Stratton. The impact they’ve all had on families throughout Wisconsin and beyond is simply immeasurable,” said Peggy Troy, president and CEO of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
The event is a USA Track & Field-certified 8-kilometer course. It attracts elite runners and wheelchair athletes from the region.
