Gang of thieves steal over £1000-worth of Lego from string of Dorset shops during five-day spree – The Sun

A GANG of Lego thieves stole more than £1,000-worth of the toy bricks ­during a five-day spree.

Stores in Dorset have been targeted by the group, which police believe is made up of two women and two men.

A Tesco store in Poole, Dorset, and a nearby Toys R Us were targeted within ten minutes of each other.

At the second store, four suspects were seen pushing three trolleys filled to the brim with Lego before making their getaway in a Vauxhall Vectra.

Smyths Toys superstore in Bournemouth also had £600 of Lego taken.

In total, the thieves are believed to have nicked stock worth £1,363.

A man of 38 from Bournemouth and a 38-year-old woman from Southampton have been arrested on suspicion of theft.

Both have been released, but remain under investigation.

An investigation is continuing in an effort to identify further suspects.

PC Vicky Sims, of Dorset Police, said: “The items stolen were of significant value and it is believed these thefts could be linked to a series of similar incidents in surrounding counties.”
