12-Year-Old’s Lego Sculpture Goes Viral – TeenVogue.com
Let’s be honest: the internet sometimes has an odd sense of humor, as proven by the types of pictures and videos that go viral. Earlier this month, we were praising this online hero who brought spaghetti into a movie theater (best idea ever, TBH), and we’re still laughing at the woman who accidentally purchased a tiny chair from Amazon.
The latest social media victor is a 12-year-old named Riley who found a pretty ~artsy~ loophole when creating a Lego masterpiece. Unlike the other kids who combined the colorful bricks in order to make futuristic cars and rocket ships, Riley had a different approach. In fact, the preteen saw a creation that existed in one single brick — without adding any other blocks at all.
In a photo that has quickly racked up tens of thousands of likes and retweets on Twitter, we see that Riley’s Lego invention is made from simply one yellow brick, and appropriately titled “worm.” People on social media were quick to applaud the 12-year-old’s choice, touting it as minimalism, and a pretty genius idea. It just goes to show that kids are often creative in ways that others might not think of, and sometimes the answer you’re looking for has been right in front of your face the whole time. Riley, you’re the hero we didn’t know we needed.
