4 children treated after crash on Dan Ryan – Chicago Tribune
Seven people, including four children who were not wearing seat belts, were taken to the hospital early Saturday after a two-car crash in the southbound lanes of the Dan Ryan Expressway near the 75th Street exit.
The Chicago Fire Department responded to the crash about 12:40 a.m. Saturday.
One car crashed and jumped the guard rail, according to fire department spokesman Larry Langford. The other car remained on the highway.
The four children were not belted in or secured in proper seats, Langford said.
The children were taken to Comer Children’s Hospital.
Two other people, including someone who was ejected, were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition, Langford said.
